A enchanted lodge with a castle in the backyard! This hotel is perfectly located. It is a few minutes drive from town and directly across the street from the Neuschwanstein castle. The staff is very friendly and makes you feel at home from the moment you enter. The main floor feels like a luxurious lodge, it has a fire place lots of comfortable seating and gives the the impression that you are in a coffee house in the mountains. 
Shot from the hotel grounds! There is a coffee ☕️/ cocktail 🍹 bar and some booth seating to the the right of the guest check-in, and further down the hall is the entrance to the restaurant. The restaurant is well decorated and has one special room that is all natural wood, it is very chic! We entered the room to find a sweet note welcoming us, as it was our honeymoon, to the property! They also included a 1/2 bottle of cava, a fruit tray 🍎 🍌 🍉 🍇 and some little cakes. The room was spacious and even had a round bed! The decor was great, the bathroom had a large tub and an awesome steam shower! The view is a whole other story, there was a deck with two sun loungers that looked out at the castle! 🏰 👀 We felt like royalty!👸🏼🤴🏻 Restaurant Breakfast - breakfast was amazing! It consisted of a large buffet, and had everything from baked goods to eggs and bacon! 🍳 🥓 🥐 there was even 🍾 to make mimosas 🍊 🥂 and more liquor should one wish to have something a little stronger! 😉 Dinner - we sis not have dinner at the restaurant as we went to the sister lodge property, which was fantastic! Castle 🏰 The Neuschwanstein castle is right there! Many if not all of the rooms at the hotel overlook the castle! It is so cool. The castle itself is about a 5 minute drive to a point where it becomes more visa le in photos and you are welcome to buy tickets to take the inside tour. We did not have a chance to do this, as we only had one night and we doing a wedding shoot. An authentic German lodge atop a mountain 🏔 
The hotel shuttle 🚌 drove us 15 minutes up a mountain of switchbacks to eat dinner and hang out at their mountain top lodge! This property was amazing. It gives you the most undisturbed taste of what Germany is like, in every way possible. The clientele are all locals, that walk🚶🏻🚶♀️ or ride up the mountain on bike! 🚲 The food is real traditional German cuisine. 🍴🥘 the menu is small but efficient, the potato soup 🥔 🥣 is out of this world! Of you walk uphill five minutes you have a stellar viewpoint 🌲🌲🌲 of the town of Schwangau. If you are lucky you will make it for sunset! 😉 There is also a huge deck with a gas fireplace where you can hang out. And off to the side of the building there is a real fire pit for those true outdoorsman! 🔥 *The staff is friendly and accommodating! |
