Resort

The entrance of the hotel is breathtaking. It is like something out of a dream. There are three archways with stripped awnings, and a beautiful pattern of brick pavers that line the floor. Once inside the space is painted a light sea-foam green, the walls are decorated with Haitian art and a collection of dated scuba masks which are really neat. If you continue down into the shared lounge area you will find a beautiful view of the ocean and the most tasteful resort furniture. You could spend the day in this section playing backgammon, having afternoon tea and then later enjoying a cocktail amongst the guests.

Room

Our room was lovely, everything was pastel and so tastefully decorated. The Walls were sea-foam green, and it has a yellow and white stripped carpet and pretty blue blackout curtains. There was a white poster board bed and the most beautiful multifunctional mirror, which had a light and tv built into it! We had never seen anything like this before. The back wall of the room was all windows and a door, which lead out to the tiered balcony overlooking the turquoise water. Honestly, you could spend your whole vacation right on this private patio!

Cafe Celeste

This was the more formal restaurant on the property, it was a beautiful seaside pavilion. You could sit under the main section or on the deck area under the umbrellas. It was a beautiful place to eat breakfast and dinner.

Bar Soleil

This was the more casual restaurant on the property, it was comfortable and the perfect fit for us. We ate most of our meals here. Our top favorites menu items were the pina colada and the guacamole! Everything was so fresh it was amazing!

Leon’s Porch & Beach Bar

This is a fun place to grab a drink and a bite of food! Leon’s is located right on Mead’s Bay beach. The food here is great, the menu offered island favorites such as pineapple, red bean salsa, jerk style chicken, burgers and shrimp and Johnny cakes, which you must try! There are two ping pong tables and if you head towards the water a small stand where you can rent kayaks and paddle boards as a guest of Malliouhana.

Infinity Pools

The property has two large infinity pools, one targeted to adults and one focused on children and family. The pools are exquisite! We spent our time in the adults only section which had sleek white sun loungers that were partially in the water and four large cabanas to escape the sun, which you needed especially in the mid afternoon. The pools were well maintained and a perfect place to cool off.

Turtle Cove Beach

This beautiful tucked away cove was right by our room, it is very secluded withe only a few umbrellas and chairs. The view is amazing the water is crystal clear and the sand is almost like white powder!

Onsite Paddle Boarding, Kayaks & Bicycles

It is so much fun to take out paddle boards and kayaks and even better when they are included in your resort package! Malliouhana is build right on the ocean front, and is the perfect place to enjoy these water sports. Should you want to ride bicycles on the property, just stop by the front desk and they will fit you with an orange beach cruiser and sent on your way to ride along the palm trees.

Beach - Fari

Our driver Benni picked us up from the hotel and drove us all over the island of Anguilla. We stopped a cliff side look out point, which was gorgeous! And from there went on to explore three different beaches: Rendezvous Bay, Shoal Bay and the Cove Bay each was beautiful and slightly different from the other.

Tradition Sailing

Laurie, Deb and Jasmine took us out sailing on the beautiful Tradition. It was out first time out on a sail boat, and what a memorable experience it was! The crew was warm and welcoming. They greeting us with champagne and had prepared a lovely spread of cheese, charcuterie, fruit, and homemade hummus to snack on while sailing. Our ride lasted for about 1.5 hours and started right before sunset. The crew was extremely accommodating and allowed us to fly our drone while at sea. They even let us steer the boat! We had a great time sailing and can’t wait to go out again. If you make it to Anguilla make sure you book this amazing experience!
